In these constructions, images of dogs reflect upon homelessness and isolation in the big city. The dog appears as a symbol of the outsider: controlled and exploited but still retaining an independence of spirit. It has its own agenda, view and map of the city.

For centuries the held-out hat and the accompanying dog have symbolised the vagrant. In this piece of work these symbols are combined into a crowd of city wanderers: different personalities intent on action.
